David Hockney
Local world-famous artist David Hockney has a new Royal Academy Exhibition running from 21 January – 9 April 2012.
The exhibition features around 150 pieces, including some that were painted locally – specifically Garrowby Hill, Kilham, Thixendale and Woldgate Woods.
Of these, there is a series of works done at different times around 20007, known as Three Trees in the Proximity of Thixendale.
The three trees can be found just before the pond on the road between Thixendale and Burdale. They can be located on Google maps and seen via Google street view
