1. AGM arranged for 5.8.03, 1930 in the Village Hall.
Aim to encourage more villagers to attend Village Hall Meetings to voice ideas, concerns, without having to assume office on the committee. Aim to generate more feeling of ‘ownership’ regarding the Village Hall.

2. Review of roles and function of officers, frequency of meetings etc. to be discussed at the AGM.

3. Resume of the various bids was given. Confirmation of offers from;

Ryedale District Council,
North Yorkshire County Council.
Application to the Heritage Lottery Fund was submitted May 2003, decision expected Sept/Oct 2003.
Application to the Community Lottery Fund being produced at present. If unsuccessful, the Countryside Agency will be approached.
Awards for All again being contacted re funding for the roof of the shared building with Mrs. Foster.

4/5 The Treasurer’s report was discussed. Clarification was sought on "Currently Sundry Debtor following uninsured loss of cash". P. Clooney confirmed he had lost the cash raised by the Christmas Raffle - Approx. £250.00. He confirmed that he would pay back the sum.

The urgent requirement to raise at least £6,000.00 was briefly discussed. It was agreed to leave discussions regarding fund-raising until the AGM.

The hard work of Mr. Crease was noted. All were grateful to him for his work, advice and encouragement. It was suggested to invite him to the next committee meeting, prior to the AGM.

6. It was noted that planning permission has been sought for the Solar panelled roof covering a paved patio/play area on the south side of the hall. Mrs Foster confirmed she had some reservations about this, because of its impact on her view from her dinning room window. Various options were discussed but on viewing the site, it was agreed that there probably was no other option. Mrs. Foster may discuss her reservations with D, Crease and A. Ingleby. She confirmed that she had not logged any objections with Ryedale Planning Department.
