In preparation of the business plan required to support a lottery bid, those present offered to research relevant topics. A similar document produced by Wetwang Village Hall Committee will be used as inspiration. To be discussed further at the next meeting, DP offered to produce several copies for the next meeting.

Ladies Toilet Block.

The two quotes received were discussed. At the moment the Village Hall funds are insufficient to cover the costs. No decision was reached regarding a self help plan, either to make the building safe or to repair.

Treasurer’s Report Savings account: £500.00 Current account: £3,350.00

Included in the current account figure is the ‘Awards_for All’ sum, obtained to fund the preparatory work. A proportion of these has paid D. Crease, architect for his initial work and advice.

Publicity

EB was approached by Mr. Jeffles, of the Malton and District Gazette. He hopes to ‘run’ an article in the paper regarding our plans for the hail.

Village hail Tapestry

On suggestions from various people EB mentioned the above. There was general agreement to the idea. Some guidance will be required to initiate the project, Shirley to be approached by PC. EB to contact ~Rural Arts’ for advice also.

Future Fund Raising

Suggestions put forward were: a games night, to be organised by? Denis, EB to organise a coffee morning fairly soon, and AA a concert in the warmer weather!

The Queens Golden Jubilee.

A resounding yes to this. The parish council to be approached, for their involvement. EB has already contacted the ‘Jubilee Fund’ for their information pack. Will forward to DP who has volunteered with Tory, to take on the organising!. Thank you very much.

Lottery to continue. EB mentioned that ticket sales were falling off. May pickup again with the roll-overs now in operation.
